Data Deletion Policy

1. Your Right to Delete Data

Krickets LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") respects your right to control your personal data. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information that we have collected through our mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Data Deletion Policy explains what data we store, how you can request its deletion, what happens during the deletion process, and what data may be retained for legal or operational reasons.

This policy applies to all of our mobile applications published on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, as well as our website at kricketsllc.com. We are committed to complying with Apple App Store requirements, Google Play Store requirements, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and all other applicable data protection laws.

2. What Data We Store

Depending on how you use our Services, we may store the following categories of data:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, username, password (hashed), profile photo, date of birth, and account preferences.
  • Usage Data: App usage events, session information, screens visited, features used, search queries, and interaction data collected through analytics services.
  • User-Generated Content: Photos, videos, text, comments, messages, reviews, and any other content you create or upload within our Apps.
  • Purchase and Transaction Data: Records of in-app purchases, subscription history, transaction IDs, and billing information (full payment details are stored by Apple, Google, or Stripe, not by us).
  • Communications Data: Support tickets, emails, feedback submissions, and any correspondence between you and our team.
  • Device and Technical Data: Device identifiers, IP addresses, device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens used to deliver push notifications via APNs (iOS) or FCM (Android).
  • Location Data: Approximate or precise location data, if you have granted location permissions.

3. How to Request Data Deletion

You may request the deletion of your data using any of the following methods:

Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account and associated data is directly within the app:

  1. Open the app and sign in to your account.
  2. Navigate to Settings (usually accessible from your profile or the main menu).
  3. Tap Account or Account Settings.
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  5. Read the information about what will be deleted and the consequences of deletion.
  6. Confirm your identity by entering your password or completing a verification step.
  7. Tap Confirm Deletion to submit your request.
  8. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address.

Method 2: Email Request

You may send a data deletion request via email to ceo@kricketsllc.com. Please include the following information to help us process your request:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your full name as registered on the account
  • The email address associated with your account
  • The name of the app(s) you used
  • Your username or user ID (if known)
  • Whether you want to delete your account entirely or only specific data
  • Any additional details that will help us locate your data

Method 3: Website Contact Form

You may submit a data deletion request through our website contact form at kricketsllc.com/contact. Select "Data Deletion" as the subject and provide the same information listed in Method 2 above. We will respond to your submission and begin processing your request.

4. What Happens When You Request Deletion

Once we receive your data deletion request, the following process takes place:

4.1 Verification Process

For the security of your account, we must verify your identity before processing a deletion request. Verification may include:

  • Confirming ownership of the email address associated with the account
  • Requesting you to verify via a link sent to your registered email
  • Matching information you provide with information on file
  • For in-app deletion, confirming your password or biometric authentication

If we cannot verify your identity, we may ask for additional information. We will not process deletion requests that cannot be verified, as this protects against unauthorized deletion of another person's data.

4.2 Processing Timeline

We will process your verified data deletion request within 30 days of receiving the verified request. In most cases, in-app deletion requests are processed more quickly, typically within 7 to 14 days. If we need additional time due to the complexity of the request or the volume of requests we are handling, we will notify you and explain the reason for the delay.

4.3 Confirmation Notification

Once your data has been deleted, we will send a confirmation notification to the email address associated with your account (or to the email address you provided in your request). This confirmation will include a summary of what was deleted and any data that was retained along with the legal basis for retention.

5. Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, we will permanently delete the following data:

  • Your user profile, including name, email, username, profile photo, and bio
  • All user-generated content you created (posts, comments, photos, videos, messages)
  • Your app preferences, settings, and customizations
  • Analytics data tied to your account or user ID
  • Push notification tokens associated with your account
  • Saved items, bookmarks, favorites, and watch lists
  • Search history and activity logs
  • Authentication credentials and session data
  • Location history stored on our servers
  • Any files or media you uploaded to our cloud storage
  • Third-party sign-in connections (Apple, Google, Facebook) linked to your account
  • Device information associated with your account

6. Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained even after your account is deleted, where we have a legal obligation or legitimate reason to do so. This includes:

  • Transaction and Purchase Records: Records of in-app purchases, subscriptions, and financial transactions may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Fraud Prevention Data: Information related to fraud investigations, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Service may be retained to protect the integrity of our Services and prevent future abuse.
  • Legal Disputes and Litigation: Data that is relevant to an ongoing or anticipated legal dispute, claim, or investigation will be retained until the matter is fully resolved.
  • Law Enforcement Requests: Data subject to a valid legal hold, court order, subpoena, or government investigation will be retained as required by law.
  • Anonymized and Aggregated Data: Data that has been irreversibly anonymized or aggregated so that it can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics, research, and business improvement purposes.
  • Backup Retention: Copies of your data may persist in our encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion. Backups are automatically purged on a rolling cycle, and data in backups is not actively used or accessible.
  • Compliance Records: Records of your deletion request and our processing of it will be retained for compliance documentation purposes.

7. Third-Party Data

Our apps use third-party services that may independently store data about you. Deleting your data from our systems does not automatically delete data held by these third parties. Below are instructions for managing your data with key third-party providers:

  • Apple: To manage data Apple collects in connection with your App Store purchases and Apple ID, visit privacy.apple.com. You can download or delete your data through Apple's Data and Privacy portal.
  • Google: To manage data Google collects through Google Play and Google services, visit myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy. You can view, download, or delete your Google activity data.
  • Firebase (Google): Data stored in Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) is managed by us. When we delete your account, we also delete your identifiable data from Firebase. Anonymized analytics data may persist.
  • Advertising Networks (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads): Ad networks may have collected data about your ad interactions. To manage this data:
    • Google AdMob: adssettings.google.com
    • Meta: facebook.com/privacy/center
    • Unity: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • Payment Processors (Stripe): If Stripe processed your payments, contact Stripe at stripe.com/privacy to manage your data.
  • Analytics Providers (Mixpanel, Amplitude): If applicable, we will submit deletion requests to these providers on your behalf when we process your account deletion.

8. Account Recovery

After you submit a deletion request, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you may cancel the deletion and recover your account. During this period:

  • Your account will be deactivated and not visible to other users.
  • You will not be able to use the app with this account.
  • Your data will still exist on our servers but will be marked for deletion.
  • To cancel the deletion, sign back in to the app or contact us at ceo@kricketsllc.com before the grace period expires.

After the 30-day grace period, deletion is permanent and irreversible. We will not be able to recover your account, content, purchase history, or any other data. Please ensure you have exported or saved any data you need before confirming deletion.

9. Deleting Data Without an Account

If you used our apps without creating an account, we may still have collected certain data such as:

  • Device identifiers and technical information
  • Usage analytics and session data
  • Crash logs and performance data
  • Advertising identifiers (if you consented to tracking)
  • IP-based approximate location data

To request deletion of this data, email ceo@kricketsllc.com with the subject "Data Deletion - No Account" and include as much identifying information as possible, such as:

  • The name of the app(s) you used
  • The device type and operating system version
  • The approximate dates you used the app
  • Your advertising identifier (IDFA or Google Advertising ID), which can be found in your device settings

We will make reasonable efforts to locate and delete your data, though this may be limited if we cannot reliably identify your data without an account.

10. App Uninstallation

Uninstalling an app from your device removes locally stored data, including:

  • Cached files and temporary data
  • Locally stored preferences and settings
  • Offline content and downloaded files
  • Authentication tokens stored on the device

However, uninstalling an app does not delete data stored on our servers. If you created an account or if data was synced to the cloud, that data will continue to exist on our servers until you submit a deletion request using one of the methods described in Section 3 above.

To fully delete all of your data, you must both request server-side data deletion and uninstall the app from your device.

11. Children's Data Deletion

We take children's privacy extremely seriously. Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age, we will delete that data promptly through an expedited process.

  • Expedited Processing: Deletion requests involving children's data are prioritized and processed within 7 days of verification, rather than the standard 30-day timeline.
  • No Grace Period: For children's data, there is no 30-day recovery period. Deletion begins immediately upon verification.
  • Parental Requests: Parents or legal guardians may submit deletion requests on behalf of a minor. We may require proof of parental relationship or guardianship.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at ceo@kricketsllc.com with the subject "Children's Data Deletion."

12. California, EEA, and Other Regional Rights

12.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act. We will process your request within 45 days (extendable by an additional 45 days with notice). You may also designate an authorized agent to make a deletion request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your deletion rights.

12.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the "right to erasure" (also known as the "right to be forgotten") under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation. We will process your request within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you are unsatisfied with our response.

12.3 Brazil (LGPD)

Brazilian users have the right to request deletion of personal data processed with their consent under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados. Contact us to exercise this right.

12.4 Other Jurisdictions

We respect data deletion rights under all applicable privacy laws, including the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Regardless of your location, you may contact us to request data deletion and we will process your request in compliance with applicable law.
